Chardham Yatra is the holiest of pilgrimages in Hindu religion. The four holy shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are covered in the yatra. These divine oasis are situated within the Garwhal region of Uttarakhand state in North India. The Char Dham Yatra Packages by P.E.A.K. Troops takes you on a spiritual journey of 10 days and 09 nights. Travel through picturesque natural beauty of the mountains. The spiritual journey starts from Haridwar. The pilgrimage continues to Yamunotri, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi, Gaurikund, Kedarnath, Rudraprayag, and Badrinath. Attain salvation as you are touched by divine forces in your yatra.


Yatra Itinerary

DAY 01:  Haridwar – Barkot  (196 Kms)
Early Morning start the day with scenic drive to Barkot (Kharsali) through Dehradun and Mussoorie. On route, visit the wonderful Kempty falls. After enjoying the cool ambience here, continue with your journey. Upon arrival in Barkot, check-in your hotel for the dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 02:  Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (48 Km)
Barkot is the base of your mountain trek to Yamunotri. After an early morning breakfast, start on your yatra. The 5 km trek can be covered either on foot. Horses or Palanquin/ Doli can be hired at own cost. Before the religious rituals, take bath at Jamunabai Kund’s warm water. There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund. One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. After you have been purified by the thermal waters, pay a visit to the Divya Shila. The rock pillar is worshipped before entering the temple. Enter the Yamunotri temple. The Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again. Offer your prayers and be blessed. In some time, make the downhill trek. Return to the Barkot hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

DAY 03:  Barkot – Uttarkashi (85 Km)

Start the day with a hearty meal. Check-out of your hotel and proceed to drive to Uttarkashi. Check in the hotel here. The evening is free for your leisure. Uttarkashi is situated at the bank of River Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here, where a massive iron trident is erected. Visit the temple for blessings. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 04: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 Kms. per way)

Early morning drive to Gangotri and on arrival take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja after that and relax for some time in the lovely surroundings, afternoon drive to Uttarkashi, on arrival check into the Hotel.

Day 05: Uttarkashi – Phata (208 Kms. )

After breakfast travel towards Phata. Its a small village located in route to Kedarnath, Uttarakhand. A strategically and commercially situated on the Gopeshwar- Gaurikund road, Phata is famous for having a helipad used by pilgrims visiting Kedarnath Dham. Overnight stay in Hotel.

DAY 06: Phata to Kedarnath  / Phata to Sonprayag-Kedarnath

Option 1: By Helicopter (Own cost.)

Pilgrims unable to trek to Kedarnath use Phata for darshan Kedarnath ji by helicopter. From Phata, there will be 8 minutes journey to Kedarnath Dham in a chopper. Pawan Hans, Pinnacle Air and other air companies provides 5-7 seater charter helicopter service to Shri Kedarnath Ji. Pilgrims can also book online tickets in advance. Helicopter facilities are also available from Augustmuni (https://www.euttaranchal.com/tourism/augustmuni.php) but from Phata, helicopter ting time is reduced by 20 minutes.

Phata to Kedarnath Return Cost – Rs 8,000/- per person (approx.)

Pilgrims will get enough time of 2-3 hrs for darshan Kadarnath ji.

Note: If you plan by helicopter evening you can back to Phata and overnight stay at Hotel. & next day is free for leisure.

 Option 2: Phata to Sonprayag-Kedarnath

Today you are taken to Sonprayag. After an early morning breakfast, get ready for the drive. From here, you will start your 20 km trek to Kedarnath. You can hire a Doli or a horse, for your trek at you own cost for your convenience.

The trek is wonderful as they views are simply breathtaking. Mountain mists are seen and when they lift off you can see the dazzling peaks of the mountains. Mandakini, one of the main tributaries of the Ganges is seen. The river originates at Kedarnath and flows through Gaurikund. Rest a while here. Pilgrims chanting “Jai Bholenath” create a divine connection.

DAY 07: Kedarnath-Sonprayag to Phata

Today you are to be taken to attend the ‘Abhishek’ to Kedarnath Shiva. Get up before dawn and take bath. The ceremony starts at 4:45, so you have to be in the temple before that. The morning rituals are spiritual blessings. After the puja enter the Garbha Griha open for pilgrims and touch the idol. Get the blessings of the lord. Touch your head down to the idol. After darshan and puja, come out of the temple and return to the Govt. Camps / Lodges. Enjoy a healthy breakfast and start the return trek of 20 km from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. Your vehicle is waiting for you in Sonprayag Car parking. You will and be taken to your hotel Phata. Dinner and overnight stay is organized in the hotel.

DAY 08: Phata to Joshimath (156 KMS)

Early in the day enjoy a hearty breakfast. Checkout of the hotel and drive to Joshimath. Enjoy the picturesque scenery. En-route. Badrinath one of the ‘Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name “Badri van”, meaning “forest of berries”. On arrival, check-in the Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Joshimath Hotel.

DAY 09: Joshimath-Badrinath-Joshimath (43 KMS)

After morning breakfast proceed towards Badrinath, As you drive, you will pass through several picturesque Ghats towards your journey to Badrinath. before darshan at the temple, move towards Tapt Kund (Hot spring) for bath. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple of Shri Badrinath Ji is 15 meters in height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a gilt bull and spire. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. At Joshimath.

DAY 10: Joshimath-Haridwar  (279 KMS)

Begin early morning with breakfast and drive downhill to haridwar, It will take around 8 Hrs. to reach Haridwar. Drop at Haridwar Station and Yatra end with happy memories.

• Helicopter/Pony/Porter/Air Fare / Train Tickets
• Personal Expenses such as Laundry, telephone calls, tips & gratuity, mineral water Etc.
• Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary.
• Entrance Fees & Guide Charges.
• Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc. (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
• Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure.
• Insurance.

If the Client is willing to amend or cancel his/her booking because of whatsoever reasons including death, accident, illness, or any other personal reasons including non-payment of the balance payment, the Company is liable to recover Cancellation charges from the Client:

When a Cancellation Is made Cancellation Charges per person
on or before 30 days prior to the departure of the Tour Initial deposit amount
29 -15 Days prior to the departure of the Tour 50%of the Total Tour Cost
14 days or less prior to date of departure or a “No Show ” on the tour 100%of the Total Tour Cost.

Any amendment in the original booking has to be given to us in writing. All changes will be processed only after the receipt of the same by the Company. However, if any of the amendment requests results in cancellation of one or more services, then the Company is liable to recover cancellation charges as indicated in the above-mentioned table.The above-mentioned cancellation charges are applicable only against the main Tour and optional tours published by the Company. If the Client has booked any other services such as air / train tickets or any third party product, then the Company is liable to recover cancellation charges as per cancellation terms of respective airline / railways or the cancellation terms of respective third party. The Company is also liable to recover its service charges against booking and cancelling such services for the Client.

Refunds (If any) for amendments and/or cancellations will be paid directly to the Client for booking made directly with the Company by way of Demand draft/Crossed cheque/ Cash at the discretion of the Company. For Bookings routed through our Preferred Sales Agents or Travel agent, the refunds will be routed through them. It would at least take 30 days to process refunds. There is no refund payable for any unutilized services (e.g. Meals, Entrance Fees, Optional Tours, Hotels, and Sightseeing etc.) for any reason whatsoever.


All domestic Hotels/Transport rates are based on current tariff & subject to change without prior notification; the revised rates will be charged extra. All arrangements made by PEAK TROOPS are in the capacity of an agent only. PEAK TROOPS will not be liable for claims or expenses arising from circumstances beyond our control such as accidents, injuries, delayed or cancelled flights & acts of force majeure.

Tour cost  also does not include

Any increase in fuel cost, Govt. taxes etc. prior to the departure of the tour, with or without Notice; will have to be borne by the participants. Any increase in the duration of the tour, due to delays in transit, missed connections, bad Weather, road blocks, civil disturbances, strikes, agitations, bandhs, war, quarantine etc. or for any other unforeseen of the camp. Itinerary & places of sightseeing may be changed / conditions will have to be borne by the participants’, after the arrival altered due to unavoidable Optional tours, tips, laundry, telephone calls, beverages, room service bills, doctors’ fees ,hospital and medical bills, baggage and all expenses of personal nature and which is not mentioned in the itinerary and the ‘ cost includes’ to be borne by the participants.
