Naneghat to Bhimashankar Blog :
Date: 13th – 15th September 2019
As half of monsoon is over, we are ready to make some more memories and take the advantage of the foggy season of year. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy the endurance trek of Naneghat to Bhimashankar.
First of all we would like to thank you all, for such a great response for 2 monsoon treks, Thanale – Sudhagad & LoBhi.
As we said this is the perfect time to do the endurance trek of Naneghat to Bhimashankar (Na-Bhi), as at this time of year there will be not heavy rain so that we can expect to do the trek without worrying about thunderstorms and also it will be not too sunny so we will not get tired in this strenuous and little challenging trek. Unlike LoBhi this will not be just flat walk of 3 days but little bit more exciting and you will definitely need more endurance to complete this trek.
Day 1 : (13th Sept 2019)
We will meet at Kalyan Station at 7:00 AM, with all loaded backpacks and ready for adventure. From here we will start our journey towards Naneghat in local transport. After having breakfast we will reach starting point of our trek. From here its around 2-2:30 hours ascend to Naneghat, here we will explore the ancient trade route. From here again we will take Jeep to cover 6 km tar road distance, meanwhile we can have lunch which you all carried from home, and again prepare ourselves for 3 hours trek to reach Amboli village, which will be our rest point for day 1.

On 2nd day we have to carry the pack lunch from Village in tiffin which you need to carried with you, and start trek towards Dhakoba fort. This day start with good stretch of ascend, and after that have a treat to our eyes on view point of konkan kada, here we will have our packed lunch. From here its comparatively easy trail up to Ahupe village, last few kilometers we can have luxury of jeep ride.

The final Day. On third day we’ll reach out final destination to the Bhimashankar. We will start our trek earlier so that we can complete as early as possible and reach home early.
