Gokak (Kannada Gokak or Gokaka) is a taluka headquarters in the Belagavi District of Karnataka state, India. It is located around 70 km from Belagavi at the confluence of two rivers, the Ghataprabha and the Markandeya.
Gokak is surrounded on one side by a range of hills, and on the other side by a vast plain of black soil. The river Ghataprabha flows from the north side of the city and cascades down through a cleft of 167 ft, to form Gokak Falls before flowing through the town. The river Markandeya, a tributary of the Ghataprabha, dashes down through 43 ft step wise hill plates to form Godachinamalaki Falls.
The Godachinmalki Falls is a waterfall located on Markandeya river in Belgaum district, Gokak Taluk, Karnataka, India. It is 15 kilometers away from Gokak. It is located in a deep green valley. Mahalingeshwara Temple is one of the old temples in the region and is located in the town of Gokak Falls about 7 km away
from Gokak. Mahalingeshwara Temple, on the south side of the Gokak Waterfalls, is an important antiquated river-front temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is locally called as Takakeshwara Temple.
The Shri Mahalakshmi Jain (Ambabai) Temple of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, India, is one of the most famous temples of Jainism and Hinduism of the state. Kolhapur and the temple is located on the banks of the Panchganga River.
Panhala Fort is one of the largest Forts in the Deccan region and it is located in the smallest city of Maharashtra,Panhala. Panhala or Panhalagad refers to the home of serpents in Marathi. The fort once served as a major trade route from Bijapur to the coastal areas due to its strategic position in the Sahyadri ranges. The fort was the centre of all the tiffs in the Deccan region which involved the Marathas, Mughals and British East India Company.
Narsinhwadi Datta Mandir Narasimhawadi commonly known as Narsobawadi or Narsobachi Wadi is a small town in Shirol Tahasil in Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. Narsobawadi gets its name from the presence of ‘Shri Narasimha Saraswati’, the Purna Avatar of Lord Dattatreya. With a lot of archaeological value this became a major pilgrim spot for many Shri Dattatrey devotee. Also, there is a confluence of the two rivers Panchganga and Krishna.
Kopeshwar Temple is at Khidrapur, Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. It is at the border of Maharashtra and Karnataka It is also accessible from Sangli as well. It was built in the 12th century by Shilahara king Gandaraditya between 1109 and 1178 CE. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is to the east of Kolhapur, ancient & artistic on the bank of the Krishna river.
Jyotiba temple is situated at a height of 3124 feet above sea level and is dedicated to Jyotiba (Dattatreya). The temple is 18 km north-west of Kolhapur. and is held by the locals to be an incarnation of three gods: Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesha, and Jamadagni.

Keep all the waste with you and even if you find some waste, collect it and deposit at the base village at the end of the trek. Do not destroy or dirty the archeological, historical monuments.
~ Participants should inform the leaders if they suffer from any heart ailments, blood pressure, asthma etc. If the leaders are not informed and any untoward incident takes place, neither the leaders nor MY MERA IINDIA Team will be held responsible.
~ Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Trekking or any adventure activity is potentially risky. For all these events you are at your own risk. Organizers are not responsible for any mishaps/accidents during the program. Or compensation in whatsoever manner.
